just a quick update on my employment problems this summer...

so usually i have a 40 hr/week lifeguarding job over the summer. last year i forgot to reapply soon enough, so i didn’t get the job. this summer i made sure to apply extremely early, but i was approximately 5 minutes late to the interview so they refused to interview me. i assumed that i wouldn’t get the job and i was really pissed off at myself.

a miracle occurred a week ago when i got a letter from the city saying that i had another interview scheduled for thursday, the 24th at 3:00 PM. i’m praying that they’ll actually hire me. of course, when i return from working my other job today i reread the letter and see that i had to call to confirm the appointment TODAY! and of course the HR office is closed by the time i get home from work! i called and left a message, so technically i confirmed on the 23rd… which is what it said in the letter… but this HR office consists of complete nazis and i have a horrible suspicion that they won’t let me come in for the interview.
